5 Bills contracts void

The five players cannot sign anywhere until free agency begins in March, but different void dates are written into contracts. As of today, the following contracts will void for the Bills.

1. S Micah Hyde
2. DE Leonard Floyd
3. DT DaQuan Jones
4. DT Tim Settle
5. LB Tyler Matakevich

In addition to the contracts voiding, each player’s cap charges will convert to dead money. Jason Fitzgerald of Over The Cap shared a list of the dead money that will be on the books for teams in 2024.

Well, not surprised but not a good thing. Basically the players contract run out but we are still paying for them this year. And it counts against this year's cap.

I expect at some point in the next couple weeks they'll re-sign DaQuan Jones. All indications are that there's strong mutual interest from both sides for Jones to remain with the team.

They are all replaceable, but those replacements unfortunately are not players currently under contract with the Bills. So there is a cost to be incurred to replace them.

Micah and Settle are gonna be gone.

Matakavetich is definitely coming back.
Daquan is probably coming back.
Flloyd they’ll at least try to get back.
