    Mike Shula out in Buffalo - NBC Sports

    Shula’s contract expired and he was not retained, according to Sal Capaccio of WGR.

    NFL stops, and is best known as the former head coach at Alabama from 2003 to 2006, as well as Alabama’s starting quarterback from 1984 to 1986.

    Shula is the son of Hall of Fame coach Don Shula, the younger brother of former Bengals head coach Dave Shula and the uncle of Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula.

    Yeah, me too. I never realized he was "in".

    "They've outed me, I was never even in!"

    ~Jerry Seinfeld, the "not that there is anything wrong with that" episode.

    I remember having an argument at the Range, with Sal, I think, when he was dumped at Bama.

    He was going on and on about how difficult it is to coach there. Too hard to live up to the Bear Bryant legacy, people expect perfection, the competitiveness of the SEC, etc.

    Then Nick Saban came in..and the rest is history.
