I said before I view Jones as one of those HoF guys for the Chiefs, on top of Mahomes, Kelce, and the departed Hill. Apparently the Chiefs agree. They tagged Sneed, but the intention was to sign Jones long term and now he is.

Looking back on that 2016 draft. The Bills picked Lawson #19 overall. The Chiefs traded out of the first round, gave SF the 28th overall and got SF's 2nd round 37th overall + others and got Chris Jones at 37. And next year they traded up with the Bills to get Mahomes. Talk about drafts changing a franchise.

Could be just 3 years but highly paid. Guaranteed part for 3 years is already almost 32M per year.

QB and DE are the highest paid. Recent trend seems to be more DT route. The theme is the ability to pass the ball, and the ability to stop the pass. You get paid to do either of the them. The Chiefs have BOTH.
