Not gonna react too much to this unless we get more proof but two scary things:

1. Most of us wanted Golisano to sell. Pegula turned out to be a far worse owner, so “different” isn’t always “better.”
2. What if a new owner wants to move? Attendance is down (although we all know it will go back up as soon as they start winning again), the arena is falling apart and likely will need to be replaced within the next 5 years.

I’m not very connected to WNY anymore but I imagine it’s a very short list of people who could afford to buy them and would want to keep them where they are.

It took 30 years of terrible for the NHL to finally move the coyotes so you guys are good for at least another decade.

According to multiple sources, the Buffalo Bandits, Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Americans, and Rochester Knighthawks are going to be sold.

Tim Graham of TBN threw ice water on this rumor. Apparently, only the Knighthawks are potentially being sold.

I guess someone even approached Terry about a sale last fall and Terry wouldn't even hear him out.

Just saw the Tim Graham thing. Didn't make sense, him wanting to sell. Pegula sat with Adams at one of the last home games. Adams just said publicly, a day ago, that he has had several discussions with Pegula about the team structure, etc.

Yeah. I think it's a fun rumor and I'm fine if it's true. I wish it was true.

But after more digging, it's simply not.

Which makes my dreams of the Knighthawks moving to GR somewhat trashed.
