No not in this case .... this player will make everybody forget the safety play we've been getting of late.

Poyer and Hyde gave what they had.

Micah might return .... but it would need to be on a vet min contract IMO.

This kid is so instinctive ..... hopefully it transfers over to the pro level that I believe it will.

I’m no draft expert, but one thing does bother me
cbs sports has him as the 134th ranked person. Picking at 60. Was this a big reach? I don’t know
CBS and other profile draft outlets use stats, most have never seen a lot of the kids they grade played, like Allen, most of Bills fans hated him when we picked him. why ? because they never seen him play...
I do suspect he won’t start until 2025.

Cole Bishop, S

Drafted: Round 2, No. 60 overall

Why he fits: Bishop is at his best when playing with forward vision at the second and third levels of the field, and he joins a Bills defense that aligned in two-high on a 56.3% of coverage snaps last season, the most in the league. It will allow Bishop to drive top-down on the ball and attack the alleys as a run defender.

When the Bills do spin to single-high coverage, Bishop can play as an enforcer underneath. Buffalo moved on from safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, so the door is open for Bishop to play an impact role as a rookie. He had 59 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions last season, doing a little bit of everything.
