What Buffalo needed in our offense

Bills QB Josh Allen on rookie WR Keon Coleman’s play style- What Buffalo needed in our offense

Bills quarterback Josh Allen wanted a big-bodied receiver as he heads into his seventh season in Buffalo.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, Buffalo selected wide receiver
Keon Coleman with the No. 33 overall pick to pair the 6-foot-3, 213-pound Florida State prospect with Allen.

Speaking Thursday on NFL Network's The Insiders, Allen believes Coleman's play-making ability is a perfect match with Buffalo's surrounding cast heading into the 2024 season.

"I think his play style (is) what we needed in our offense," Allen told NFL Network Insiders Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero. "Talking with our offensive coordinator (Joe Brady), our quarterbacks coach (Ronald Curry), (general manager) Brandon Beane and, obviously, coach (Sean) McDermott, a guy that's a big-bodied guy and can go win one a back-shoulder fade and not afraid to be a physical wide receiver.

Bigger, faster and better hands. That's what's been needed. They have that now.

Did you see Diggs was a no show at their OTA’s? New team, new QB, and new offense and he doesn’t show! Same old!

Coleman may not have people forget about Stefon Diggs right away, but if he can really play lights out football, could be Josh's go to guy for years in coming.

Yeah, I don't get it. After a couple of seasons of getting in sync with your QB maybe, but right off the bat?

Clearly Diggs was causing issues in Buffalo. Beane, McDermott, Allen, et al., were too classy to take it into the public forum. Beane must have addressed with Diggs also, as he largely kept quiet too. Beane must have told him he'd trade him and did so rather quietly (leading up to it). Diggs is an issue. Now causing problems for his 3rd team.

Exactly, you would think the vet would want to lead by example, then again, I guess he is!

I thought it might be a contract dispute but they gave him (essentially) a 1-year $22.5M deal. The deal though is for 5 years with 4 void years and has a base salary of $1.2M and a signing bonus of $20.8M. LOL!

He should be there for OTAs, voluntary or not. But not our problem anymore.

It's seeming more and more that Diggs is a phoney little ***** who's all about Stephon.
