I’m having the best fantasy football season I have ever had!

I’m having the best fantasy football season I have ever had!
Like I said before the season, I only get in one league a year! It’s with my buddies. I haven’t won it in about 6 years. But I think this is my year.

I usually have terrible luck in these things. I’ll consistently have 10 wins and finish first or second but lose in the playoffs. I’m praying that the bad luck ends this year.

In the draft I had the 6th pick in a 10 team league. With everyone worried about his Hip, Holmes fell to me at 6! And because of the run on Running backs, Marvin Harrison miraculously fell to me in the second round. In the third I grabbed Kurt Warner and since nobody grabbed Marc Bulger, I scooped him up after week 1. In round 4 I took Stephen Davis. I rounded my line up out with Tony Gonzalez, Make Vanderjadt, Baltimore and KC’s Defense, Chad Johnson

So my starting Line-up is as follows

    QB – Marc Bulger
    RB – Priest Holmes
    RB – Steven Davis
    WR- Marvin Herrison
    WR – Chad Johnson
    TE – Tony Gonzalez
    K – Mike Vanderjadt
    D – Baltimore or KC

I’ve scored 645 points. 2nd highest is 513 and 3rd highest is 469! I’ve led the league in scoring in 5 of the past 7 weeks! In the two weeks I didn’t lead the league in scoring, the first week ONE team finished higher then me and the second week, 2 teams finish higher then me (What a kick in the ass that I happened to play one of those 2 teams) So I go into this week at 7-1! However, with Holmes and Gonzo on the bye, I’m going with Buckhalter and Mili!

    I love winning!

Make sure you hold onto that Baltimore D. In week 16, when most leagues have their Super Bowl, the KC defense plays Minnesota.

Yeah, I'm all over that. I've been giving Baltimore most of the starts but KC is coming up big. We don't give Special teams points, so that hurts.

The team just kind of fell into place. I had a very good feeling on Davis, so I was able to scoop him up in the 4th. Chad Johnson sat on the board forever because everybody was wary of the Cincy thing! So I got him at the end of the draft. I don't know how Harrison dropped to me.

It's a 10-team league! 4 first timers really helped! 2 of them didn't have the football knowledge to have a great draft, but they both have very solid teams. The other 2 are very knowledgeable; football guys, but they may have over thought things because they’re near the bottom. Although one of them has won 3 in a row and is making a run.

My team isn't too shabby. 12 team league. Driver and Stallworth have been the only disappointments. I have the most points so far. 2nd place though. Friggin people have their best weeks against me.

              QB Manning, Peyton (QB-Ind)
              WR Owens, Terrell (WR-SF)
              WR Toomer, Amani (WR-NYG)
              RB Hambrick, Troy (RB-Dal)
              RB Garner, Charlie (RB-Oak)
              TE Jones, Freddie (TE-Ari)
              WR/TE Stallworth, Donte' (WR-NO)
              WR/RB Pittman, Michael (RB-TB)
              Bench Ricks, Mikhael (TE-Det)
              Bench Holmes, Priest (RB-KC)
              Bench Driver, Donald (WR-GB)
              Bench Carr, DavidD (QB-Hou)

              K Hall, John (K-Was)

              DEF New York (DEF-NYG)
              Bench Tennessee (DEF-TEN)

                Hell of a team BF1.

2 years ago, the same thing happened to me. I had the most points scored and yet I finished about .500 and I think I missed the playoffs. what a pisser!

                  I'm undefeated.

                  QB Green / Collins
                  RB Henry
                  RB George
                  WR Holt
                  WR Chad Johnson
                  WR D Jackson
                  K Lindell / Edinger
                  D KC

Our league has a supplimental 3 round draft after week 3. Picked up the KC D and took a flyer on Willis.

Thanks! I drafted most of the team.

I traded {cough} {cough} Drew Bledsoe and Tim Brown for Terrell Ownes after week 2 (the dude needed a QB bad!).

I had Plummer as a backup. I dumped him and picked up Carr.

I dumped the Bills D for Giants D for Tennessee's bye.

I think that's it. I had the 2nd pick in the draft with the reverse order deal every round.

                      What's your scoring system?

The SOBs f'ed up for the second straight year. I told them not to mess with the defaults!

It's whatever yahoo's default scoring system is - only with something screwed up so QBs (especially peyton manning) scores about 70 or 80 a game.

                        WRs average about 10-20 pts
                        RBs average about 15-25 pts.

                            Good question.

I looked around and found a page that lists trades and moves.

I have 1 trade and 9 moves. The least moves.

The most is 50 moves and 3 trades.

My team in the work money league turns out pretty good too.

                              Trent Green (7th round)
                              Ricky Williams (1st round)
                              Jamal Lewis (2nd round)
                              Torry Holt (3rd round)
                              Joe Horn (4th round)
                              Freddie Jones (16th round)
                              Jay Feely (11th round)
                              New England (14th round)
