Spurrier to meet with owner after season

Steve Spurrier expects to be back with the Redskins next season. So does owner Daniel Snyder.

However, that does not make it a sure thing.

Spurrier told the Washington Post on Thursday that there are several issues that need to be worked out with Snyder, including discussions on possible changes to his coaching staff for next season.

"I'm certainly planning on coming back, and he [Snyder] certainly is planning on me coming back," Spurrier told the Post. "If something changes with that, I'm sure we'll let everyone know."

Snyder said earlier in the season that Spurrier "absolutely" would return despite the fact that the Redskins have had their second straight disappointing season. The Redskins are 5-10 this season, and Spurrier is 10-19 over the last two years since leaving the University of Florida to sign a five-year deal. Spurrier has indicated he would step aside if the 'Skins struggle again next season.
