I suppose there is always a possibilty that he could make a come back ~ but I'd rather take our chances with what we currently have. Jones sounds injury prone and washed up.

Is he related to Rusty? I think the Bills have a nepotism poilicy
I heard that the reason that RJ got put down to third string is that he couldn't keep up with the Joneses at camp.
couldn't hurt to bring him in for a looksee.
In the end, there are only three liberal archetypes: The fools, the beneficiaries and the crooks.
"If you build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day, but if you set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life"Optyimus Ignorus Realityious!
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
- John F. Kennedy, January 20, 1961
To live in the presence of great truths and eternal laws,
to be led by permanent ideals -
that is what keeps a man patient
when the world ignores him,
and calm and unspoiled when the world praises him. -- Honore De Balzac
he's like 26, I know he was a good run defender and pass rusher
"Couldn't keep up with the Joneses" I resemble that remark, BigDoug.
Marcus is 29. For every move that actually happens, we fans speculate about dozens, so I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen, but I'd like to see it. Who to cut, that is the question. I doubt it would happen because the unwritten rule in the NFL is that rookies drafted on day one get a full year at least before they're cut, but I'd cut Denney in a heartbeat. Anytime he's played so far he hasn't shown even a glimpse of athleticism or football savvy. He has bust written all over him.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
If this guy is healthy TD should be if he does not bring him in for at least a good look!

I'm climbing on the Marcus Jones bandwagon. If healthy, he's probably better than any DE on the roster now. He would turn DE into a strength on the Bills instead of a question mark. We still need a solid DT and probably won't be able to get one until the offseason, but this puts us half way to a good line. Can either of our resident capologists shed any light on what lineman the Bills could cut in order to afford the cap hit? Anyone have an educated guess on the contract Jones will command?
I had this exact same injury (i tory my latiral miniscus ?sp? in my knee) my junior year of high school, i was 6'4 318 lbs at the time. it took me a little over a month to get back on the feild but i wasn't even close to the same for the rest of the season, i was slow off the snap, and much slower, i suck at pass rushing(it didnt really affect me stopping the run) this guy will feel it in his knee all season, i dont know about his shoulder but the knee might be trouble.
if he can pass the physical..why not?

Heard on the radio this morning the Redskins are gonna sign him Because they are not getting anything out of Bruce Smith.
then bring bruce back for the rest of the year-if for nothing else just for entertainment sake to hear us call bruuuuuuce. let him retire a bill.
I agree. It's an interesting proposition. Bring Bruce back, sign him to a veteran minimum, let him mentor the young guys and retire as a Bill. If I were him I'd definitely entertain that idea.
