What's Mario Lemieux's Excuse Gonna Be This Year ?

Mario Lemieux was clearly frustrated by the Leafs "blanket" defensive coverage last night, as they recorded a shutout.

Now that the NHL is clearly calling obstruction penalties (they got one obstruction holding penalty...the Pens got 2), I wonder what his excuse and whining is gonna be @ this year ?

Ya know BigDoug, I used to like Lemieux as a player before he retired and when he was going through all that Hodgkins Disease (is that what is was?) stuff. But ever since he came back, I see him as a big 'ole crybaby who really needs to retire.
And the NHL really licked his butt with all the coverage they gave him the season he returned.
    See me here pushing you

I never liked Lemieux...he never played defense...only knew the offensive end of the rink and whined all the time...the topper was here in Buffalo when he threw his stick, boomerang style, at a referree and never got a penalty, let alone a suspension.

He is old and I wish he would go away.

Watch this...guaranteed in @ 3 weeks he's gonna rant off to the press @ bodychecking and how because of them, he has to shoot the puck off-balance.

Is he still not travelling to road games?

Mario will NOT win the scoring title this year !! You have to play more than half your teams games for that to happen and that doesnt matter who you are !! Mario needs to call it a day .. besides at the rate the Pens are going they will be in Portland soon anyway !!! Scoring title will probably go to Jagr, Iginla, or Bure. Lemieux ? ... thats a laugh.

2000 stats are great. But it's 2002 almost 2003 and Mario keeps getting older and whinnier. He may have decent numbers in the goals scored category, but I don't see him scoring the most in the NHL, especially if he doesn't play all the games.

He doesn't have the motivation to play for the Olympics.
    His team is lousy.
He is playing to sell tickets so he doesn't lose his shirt on the Pens.

Yep, it's sad. Kind of like when Montgomery Burns played for the Isotopes

lol big doug, some of these guuys just don't get it. age will not affect mario, he has always been slow, it is the vision that allows him to play so long.
