Lindell Works Toward Improving on 2003 Season

Kicker Rian Lindell didn't have a ton of opportunities in his first season with the Bills after the team signed him from the Seattle Seahawks as a restricted free agent in the offseason.

Lindell recorded 75 points, kicking 17 field goals and connecting on all 24 PAT attempts.

Similar to the Bills, Lindell's season started fast and finished slow. At the season's midpoint, Lindell was 10-of-12 on field goals before struggling down the stretch, making only 7-of-12.

Maybe he could improve on kicking off deep beyond the preseason. I think the field is the same length in the regular season.

What I hate is how they say "making all 24 PAT attempts." Please- at the NFL level a player should NEVER miss an extra point. There is nothing spectacular about that stat- don't give the guy credit for doing what he's SUPPOSED to do. It's like saying Travis Henry ran for 70 yards on 30 carries, but he had a good game because he didn't fumble.
