In retrospect, I heard once that SD offered the second overall pick in the draft for RJ. I wonder what Butler would have done with the pick if we would have gotten it. Take it a step further and if the Bills had not used it on Ryan Leaf and had Flutie as their QB without controversy. That draft had Kyle Turley, Charles Woodson, Randy Moss, not to mention Keith Brooking and Takeo Spikes.

not completely correct...he was the back up in Jax...and as much as it is easy to bash now I didn't hear ANYBODY in 1998 saying not to bring him here...granted MBs did not exist but everybody on call radio (even the hosts) were screaming for him to be brought in...the Bills may have been suckers but so were the fans...
