Mularkey's new broom doesn't do much sweeping

    By MARK GAUGHAN
Mike Mularkey finds himself in an unusual situation in his first season as head coach of the Buffalo Bills.
He's taking over a roster that isn't facing wholesale changes to its starting lineup.

Most first-year coaches arrive along with a new broom that sweeps clean. Mularkey's starting roster has undergone the least change of any of the seven new head coaches in the NFL this year. Washington's Joe Gibbs and Oakland's Norv Turner both will have 13 or 14 new starters this year. Chicago's Lovie Smith is likely to have 12 new starters. The Giants' Tom Coughlin has about 11. Arizona's Dennis Green has about 10. Atlanta's Jim Mora Jr. is likely to have six.

"So that's either very good news for Mularkey or the Bills are overestimating their roster"

Overestimating our roster? Oh, I get it, so were supposed to cut people left and right just because we sucked last year. And who does he propose we give the axe? Moulds? Henry? Jennings? Williams? Adams? Schobel? Other Williams? Spikes? Fletcher? Clements? Milloy? And then we should replace them with the lush and full free agent and post June 1st crop we had this year. wow, what a better team that would be.

Maybe the reason we haven't had many new starters is becuase we have good players! Talent is not the problem on this team. I hate Gaughan, he's so dumb.
    Beware the sack master!

They did sweep out the least talented positions on the team.....

Head Coach, OC, O-Line Coach, and all the other offensive "genius'"
minds on the team. That alone improves the roster 10 fold
