Apparently it's obvious that a bunch of ya are a bit clueless on how this works
So, I'll try my best to explain the fundamentals and also impart some strategy to help the struggling teams.
The worst thing that can happen is that the novelty wears off and we have 10 abandoned franchises come christmas. Also, feel free to ask Uncle Don for any free advice on who to play, what to do, or any other help.
So lace 'em up, tape 'em up, and get the icepacks in the freezer.
First things first, no matter if you are in a rotisserie style league (BFZ Hockey #1) or a head to head league (BFZ#2), you need to set your line ups.
You can change the line up every day, for as far out in the future as you want. Last week I know some Zoners traveled to the Pats game and I know they set their line up for a week in advance.
* Hint * Don't leave players on the bench if they are playing a game tonight. If Mario Lemieux isn't going to play for 5 days, put him on he bench and put in Vaclav Varada in if he's got a game tonight. Tomorrow, send Varada back to the pine. Maximize your chances.
I have 3 stud goalies in league 1 and none of the pansies will swap with me. What am I to do?
Have you made an offer?
Leclair for Belfour is not an offer.
Belfour a stud? BWawawawahahaha!
But seriously, find a team in last place struggling for goaltending. A team with few goaltending wins. (Mean Snakes, maybe?)
3 starting goalies isn't the worst thing, either. The last time I looked, you were middle of the pack when it comes to Goaltending points.
If you do dump a Goalie, scoring is not what you should be looking for. You're weak in Faceoffs won and Penalty minutes.
You should be targeting a center that wins a lot of faceoffs and gets a lot of dumb penalties. If you moved up to just "middle of the pack" in those categories, you would be kicking butt in this league.
As odd as it sounds, you should be going after a Lindros or a Keith or Wayne Primeau....over 100 faceoffs won and over 20 minutes in penalties.

I didn't know I had to change my lineup every day. My players suck anyway I don't know how I got so screwed in the draft. This is a lot of work. Couldn't find any real helpful information on yahoo either.
I really don't like the 3 day waiver process for picking up a guy who was just dropped.
But then again, not everyone is a computer geek on line every day, so it does give the bottom feeders a shot at someone.
Gotta plana few days ahead.
Waiver wire has been busy this week! Past 2 day's moves...
