Is it too early for a Christmas gift?

as I mentioned before, I want to give my wife a remote car starter for Christmas (I couldn't get it done in time for her birthday). She's away for the next 3 days, so it would be the perfect chance for me to get it done. Plus, it's already cold (by her standards, anyway). As xmas gets closer, the shop will get busier and it will be harder for me to get her car.

But if I get it done now, then I won't have much to give her on Christmas- we're trying not to spend a lot of money since we just bought the house.

Any suggestions?

Last year I had put one in my wife's car and they put a little antenna on the windshield. I put it on at the end of November and she never noticed it. I gave her the remote on Xmas.

not a bad idea, but I also need to get her a 3 king's day gift, an anniversary gift in Jan and a Valentine's day gift. So I'm keeping the jewelry option in reserve for the moment.
