This win against NY doesn't prove anything.

I'm happy that the Sabres won. But come on. Anybody can score goals against the Rangers. They have their young goalie in there and the worst defensive core in the NHL. I still did not see enough toughness in their play. I saw Holik skating around out there knocking out guys left and right. I even say him bump into Biron's stick. I just woulda liked to see someone go out there and lay a big hit on that puke. Overall, they played smart, and took advantage of that Rangers pothetic defense. Good win overall, but I'm still not sure on that team. Once they put together a six game or seven game unbeaten streak, then I'll be happy.

You said it yourself......."they played smart"

so, WTF else do you want from them? That is the most any team CAN do, is to play smart. Ya, I'd love to see someone knock Holik's head off....but if we'd done that, it would have been at the cost of the win most likely. This team needs to show some discipline and focus, and they DID THAT last night. They're on the right track, eh?

It's better than a loss, but I know how you feel. Try rooting for the Lions. . .

Sounds exactly like the Thrashers when Buffalo played them last and we all know the outcome of that game. A win is a win and in order to build confidence they have to win in every way they can, against every team they can, to close the gap.

LOL the article in the Buff. news was great. When Ruff said that the sabres just need some big goalie saves and someone to score a hat-trick to win.

In regards to big saves, IMO the sabres feed off that. When Hasek was between the pipes and made some incredible stops, our forwards would get that extra "boost" and take it up ice to do some damage.

LOL ally......Boone's. As in Boone's Farm sparkeling alcoholic beverage?? My ex drank that ghetto wine stuff.

In addition, I think it proves a lot. It shows that the Sabres are making a valid attempt to overcome adversity. They are not just giving up on the season, but rather fighting their way back into contention. They played like a solid TEAM last night regardless of the opponent.

I'm optimistically cautious. Good job tonight though.
