Assassins Exec VP/GM Kevin Colbert and Director of Player Personnel Phil Savage both have seen enough of our next selection to know that we're getting a pretty good young player here. This kid has good size and speed, and should develop into a pretty reliable WR for us. We're happy to get him at this point in the draft. So...

the Erie Assassins select Kelley Washington, WR with our 23rd round pick.

    Okay. We're done w/ the 23rd round.

Since The Chef (NY Goldmines) missed his pick, we'll have the open period from 2pm-3pm, then we'll go right into Round 24, when the NE Wookies will have the first pick beginning @ 3pm.

At 7 Assassins Plaza, Assassins Director of Player Personnel Phil Savage makes his pitch for the next selection. He feels that this receiver can become one of the top WRs in the league with some more development. He's a good young player who has very reliable hands and pretty decent speed as well. He will make a nice tandem w/ our other new addition, Kelley Washington. So...

the Erie Assassins select Brandon Lloyd, WR with their first choice in the 24th round.

In the Assassins' war room at 7 Assassins Plaza, Coach Kirk Ferentz is stressing the need to develop a strong kicking game. Exec VP/GM Kevin Colbert knows just the person to select. This guy has a strong leg, is very accurate, and does a great job kicking on cold weather, a must for anyone kicking for the Assassins. So...

the Erie Assassins select David Akers, K with their 2nd pick in the 24th round.

Since the Screaming Vikings are present (I wasn't going to be at my "normal" time - so I sent in a list...), they will pick JP Losman, QB
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"

"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

KKS take C Jeff Faine and thus leave only RB as the remaining starting spot that needs to be filled by the team.
