They also wanted to get younger at LB with Phifer unsigned and Johnson/Vrabel/Izzo/McGinest not getting any younger.
Biesel can play all the LB spot sand (not in this game it seems) can rush the passer a bit from the DE spot. kind of like a young adalius thomas.
