Goldmines would like to select WR Charles Lee Tampa Bay during catch up time. If he has been taken our second choice is Reche Caldwell WR San Diego. Haven't updated my board yet today.

Round 40 begins now.
New England Wookies are on the clock until 3:15pm.
Goldmines selct QB Josh McCown Arizona Cardinals
Erie is on the clock for 3 picks...2 for themselves and 1 for the Spartans.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
The Assassins will now try to add more depth to their defense w/ their 2 picks in this round.
Our next pick has has some unfortunate injuries the past season, but we believe that he'll heal up nicely and become a contributor for the Assassins in the dime package. We have a couple of pretty good, young backup CBs now in Woolfork and Vasher, so this pick doesn't have nearly as much of a risk to it. We also may look to use him down the line at safety because of his size and good tackling ability. So...
the Erie Assassins select Lenny Walls, CB with the first of their 2 picks in the 40th round.
Spaz Spartans select Mario Edwards, CB with their 40th round pick.
Again, the Assassins will address the depth of their defense.
Assassins Defensive Coordinator Al Golden, who served as linebackers coach and defensive coordinator for Al Groh at the University of Virginia (which he will also do in Erie) and has experience coaching the 3-4 scheme, wants to have a stockpile of talent at the LB position. Our next pick was originally slated to be a starter on our original draft "dream sheet" alongside Jonathan Vilma. With the way the draft turned out, we were able to bring in Napoleon Harris to start next to Vilma, but this guy will be a nice backup. He does have some trouble in pass coverage, but is a very good run defender who is also very aggressive, which our LBs need to be in this scheme. We believe he will give us very nice depth inside. So...
the Erie Assassins select Gerald Hayes, LB with the 2nd of their 2 picks in the 40th round.
Screaming Vikings are on the clock until 4:30pm.
Screaming Vikings pick Anthony Simmons, OLB
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."
Kalamazoo Kamikaze Squirrels are on the clock until 4:45pm.
Jersey Jaguars are on the clock until 5pm.
Jersey Jags select P/K/Holder Todd Sauerbrun
Dareus - 1st Round Pick
The Retro Raiders select CB Jason Webster
The Houston Retro Raiders.
The Brewsers will continue to draft with youth and depth in mind. We select C/G Tupe Peko.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
the CRK's after much thought select:
FS/GUNNER Quentin Harris

Hes been drafted
Right then..... this is going to happen more and more i think... it's getting harder to keep track this far into the picks.
switching gears, it seems the debate was not warranted after all. So the CRK's decide to go with the (hopefully) thier other option from before and select:
DT Anthony Adams, SF
Adams is 24 and a solid young NT. missed a couple games last year at the end, but played well as a run stopper int he starters role... should do well this year, though we hope he starts to increase his playmaking in terms of sacks and forced fumbles soon.
