The suggested deal is a good one- time to commit the $

I hate the threats and strong-arming as much or more than anyone else, and Bettman is really being a jackass, but-

all Hamister appears to want is help with the arena. Some of it might have already been on the table for Rigas, too, so what's the big deal?

The tax $$ to invest into the arena is more than worth it to keep the team alive and well and maybe enhance the arena's usage.

    It's a no-brainer- the area must commit.
Argue like hell. Keep it clean. And when it's over, shake hands and root for our team!

I would agree to giving the $$$ to help with arena debt as long as Hamister commits to a clause that GUARANTEES a few things:

      1) Absolute non-relocation

      2) Lease minimum 30 years

      3) If Sabres become profitable, that money goes to pay back the debt forgiveness

I'd say only #1 is realistic, maybe #2.

#3 is a deal-breaker. You just cost us the Sabres!

No tax money for pro sports. Don't do it.
