I agree. I will also say that if you decide to do this, make this a grandfather clause. As of next year, any cut that is made on the board counts immediately. Or you could tell everyone that no cuts will be allowed until you turn in your spread sheet.....unless u need to free up some money or are picking up a FA.

    this is ok by me.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

What is the point of all this.........Next year when rosters go in and are finished thats what really matters teams can cut players and sign them right away so basically thats what I did then if you want me too I will sign him right now and trade him in 1 hour to the 4 others teams that want him, I still have the right to him over anybody else on this site.....I really dont give a rats a@@............I made a mistake...OH MY GOD.......If Ebenezer wants me to do different then thast what I will do........I dont want any drama at all, Im way to busy for this...........Till then TY LAW is on the block to be traded, and I know that most players have tarde value if you ask around anyway.....

The point is I tried to remove an RFA from a player after I aquired QB Marc Bulger, but I'd already submitted my Spreadsheet to Eb. I submitted the spreadsheet a week BEFORE the due date. He refuted my request to remove my RFA tag, which is fine, but I merely pointed out that he allowed you to reneg a cut you made, so what's the difference. And, dont' hand me that "The spreadsheet is the official way" BS either. We all thought posting the cuts in this thread was "official" until a few days ago.

whoa.. wit a sec. It SOUNDS like you cut Law for salary purpose THEN found out you could have gotten something for him and decided to say you didn't mean to and "reclaimed" him as a mistake, whihc it obviously wasn't.... you realized he had value and took him back so you could trade him now... THat hardly seems right to me.... if we are trying to run this league with as much realism as possible then this shouldn't be allowed... you can' announce you've released a player then say ooops he's of value nevermind.

I can't let you take him back simply for the purposes of trading him...that would not be right.

Guys there is only 1 person handling all this so keep that in mind. Make whatever trades you have to make then get your salary sheet into Eb.

I had a blast in year one, year 2 should be even better now that we have the feel of things. Put the bickering aside and make your cuts.

Ebenezer so is he cut from my team or am I able to keep him on my team. If I am able to keep him I will sign him to a 2 year NO TRADE clause then, that way this matter will be solved......SORRY to all for this matter, I no next year we will probably change this matter on cutting players...

you may cut him or keep him (at whatever length contract you want - no clauses needed)...you cannot trade him..I think that is fair.

It's not clear to me why you thought this. Eb made it very specifically clear in his original note.
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"

"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

Actually from January 10th until March 20th, the procedure was to post the cuts in the original cuts thread. I'm assuming that this is what F_L is referring to.

And lets stop this stupid grudge ****. You guys are grown men. Lets just try to enjoy the league and move on.
