VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Toronto Maple Leafs, already one player short of a full lineup, lost another forward during the second period of Tuesday's 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

Center Nik Antropov, who scored his ninth goal of the season in the first period, left the game 3:50 into the second holding his arm after he was slashed by defenseman Murray Baron. He did not return.

Toronto got another scare when Defenseman Ric Jackman had to be carried off the ice just over seven minutes later after falling awkwardly with his right knee and ankle folded under his body. He couldn't put any weight on his leg when he left the ice, but returned to start the third period.
