I actually remember saying that your team and my team were very similar in the way we built our team. Steven Jackson early on was the pick that I didn't like at the time and doesn't look like a good pick now.

Dareus - 1st Round Pick
I still chuckle because so many people didn't seem to like my picks - but they seem to be working out pretty well right now.
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."
It really is chemistry and match ups...not super stars. I have seen people win these things without 1 $10mil player.Originally Posted by MikeInRoch

A lot of teams are going to do that next year, when I only get Javon Walker for, like, 3 quarters of one game before he tears his ACL.Originally Posted by Devin
Congrats on the win, though, it was a well-fought game.
MBB the problem with your team is injuries you picked up alot of good starters that where injured much of last year if they stay healthy this year your team will be good next year
True, he has great talent just a lot of injuries. I still say he and Rich will have the teams to beat next season.
Hey Devin did that email work ???
I got it but I havent had my laptop online, I will give it a shot this coming weekend.
There is a very slim chance I could actually be back in my house by Sunday...WOOHOO!
great to hear thing are getting somewhat back to normal there
Injuries are so important in this game...it actually tracks how many plays each player plays...Originally Posted by Devin
I like that though, while I question the whole ratings system around OL's, this game really seems to be pretty realistic.
That being said Cedric Benson better have a monster year.
at least MBB has a Cadillac coming to his team next year
Yea Caddy Is the future of my team. And after one game the future looks bright. At this point Ed Reed and Akin Ayodele are the only 2 players on my team to do anything worth even mentioning.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
This sucks, I was so tired of drafting by the time we got to the rookie draft, I didn't feel like getting up early on my day off to draft. Now I got no rookies, and I'm losing Onterrio Smith and Javon Walker next season to suspension/injuries. CuMart and Driver better have fantastic seasons IRL.
ther is always free agency Ally
I hear Corey Dillon will be available.
What do you mean by Chemistry? I don't think the players have a stat for how well they work with others, do they?Originally Posted by Ebenezer

Mine? We'll get better, but I'm thinking year 3 is the year we'll make a championship run.
Defensively, I think once my young guys get the experience (like they're doing this season), they'll be very tough. I'm really happy @ the progress of guys like Vilma, Barnett, Weaver, Robinson, Taylor and Dansby. My core of players should be very impressive if they stay healthy. Plus, I'll be able to add DJ (he looked very good in KC's opening day win) and Thomas Davis to the mix. I should have decent depth and very good starting talent by then.
Offensively, I have a line that is among the best in the BZFL in sacks allowed and has paved the way for Julius Jones to look real good, when he's healthy. Plus next year, I'll be able to use Marion Barber as Jones' backup, and I think he'll be a decent backup. Troupe has done a good job @ TE and my WRs are solid, just not spectacular. They need a go-to guy added to them, which I'll try to do in the offseason. My QB issue will also be looked @ closely in the offseason. I'm okay w/ Leftwich for the long haul, but I may need to acquire another solid passer to back him up.
As far as special teams go, I'm good to go w/ my kickers, but I will need to add more speed and athleticism to my return game.
Well, you could always dump Walker in free agency.Originally Posted by Sabre Ally
Yeah I will be focusing VERY heavily on my OL in the off season.
