OTTAWA - Ales Kotalik was the only member of his line not to score a goal Friday.
But Kotalik wouldn't be denied Saturday night.

The rookie winger scored 48 seconds into the game, then scored with 40.9 seconds left in overtime as the Sabres beat the Eastern Conference-leading Ottawa Senators, 2-1, in the Corel Centre.

Kotalik gave the Sabres their second win in as many nights with a shot from the left circle.

"It was a great play by Stu Barnes," Kotalik said. "He gave me a great pass. Those are the kinds of shots I practice every day. I was happy to get a chance to use it in a game."
