    On This Date in Buffalo Bills History...

    October 17th.

    1965- The Bills defeat the Chiefs 23-7, despite only netting 127 yards in total offense.

    1966- Kicker Booth Lusteg is assaulted by youths blaming him for the loss to the Chargers a few days earlier. He refuses to sign the complaint.

    1982- The Player's Association holds its first weekend of All Star games. The AFC East team lost to the NFC East team 23-22 at RFK Stadium.

    1995- Marv's surgery is successful.

    1999- Doug Flutie throws an interception at the end of the game, and the visiting Raiders hold off the Bills 20-14 in Buffalo.

    2004- McGahee nets 111 yards on the ground, as the Bills Squish the fish, 20-13 at the Ralph.
