"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." -Thomas Jefferson

If I was choosing a franchise RB, I would consider more than just 2005 stats. I would consider upside as well.
1. Tomlinson
2. Alexander
3. L. Johnson
4. James
5. C. Williams
6. McGahee
7. J. Jones
8. S. Jackson
9. T. Bell
t10. Portis
t10. R. Brown (isn't as effective as a featured back)
T. Jones is injury prone and Portis plays when he feels like it.

Right now, I would not rank him in the top 10. Perhaps in the 12-15 range. I do think he has a chance to be one of the best, but he needs to extract his head from his butt, shut his mouth, and play hard all of the time.
Let's at least give Whaley a chance.
I'll rank him after today.
I have him ranked in the top ten. I like his confidence, but if he honestly thinks he is the best in the NFL he is out of his freakin mind. I would much rather have LT on this team. He definately needs to shut his trap in the future.
I don't rank running backs...it's all in the line.
Emmitt Smith wasn't even one of the 10 best backs ever...he just played behind possibly the best OL ever.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
We have the worst o-line in the NFL and people want to rank our RB? IMO Willis and JP are in about the worst situation a young QB and RB can be in. Anyone who rips Willis for having no holes, coming out on 3rd downs, never getting any swing/screen passes should be banned from this board for life for incompetence.Originally Posted by Ebenezer

have all scored more TDs than him this year, and after all isnt that all that matters?
so he is the 23rd best back in the League.
