Thanks ryjam. I was going to wait til the $5 million round, but I knew he wouldn't be there when I picked again. Hopefully he'll be an 8 or 9 next year.

You aren't looking to make friends, are you Fever?

Good pickup, but are you forgetting about the salary cap? You need to sign 12 more players and now only have $13.3 million left. You'll be signing a lot of cheap guys, wont ya?

It's always nice to have friends, or @ least a friendly relationship w/ the fellow owners. It helps in regard to making trades.

I need to worry about trying to find stars first and then worry about the depth. I'm trying to build my team for the future. This is another pick where it will be a steal if he returns to form and if he doesn't then I get rid of him after this year.

I'll be signing about 7 players in the very late rounds for about a total of 3 million and that will leave me 10 million for 5 other players to take a chance on.

They will mostly be 3rd stringers that won't see the field that often. I'll look for the draft to try and find some good depth and possible starters.

My starting team is mostly filled now. There's a few guys I'd rather not have starting but I'll try to find their replacements in the draft this year.

Outside of Chad Clifton where I just needed a good starter to protect my QB's, McNabb and Lewis are guys I'm taking a chance on and hoping they return to form for the future.

Whatever guy I took in the 3rd round for 7.5 million I knew wouldn't be on my team next year. Clifton is just a 1 year hired gun.

I won't be able to afford any of the guys I would've drafted for 7.5 million next year. Whoever I got would've been gone.

I thought about taking Locklear or Starks instead of Clifton but I knew I wouldn't be able to afford to keep them for 7.5 million next year so I went with the best one just for this season.

I'm surprised how Locklear is rated that high in this game. He is shown as the backup to Ashworth on all the depth charts I've seen.

I wanted to wait till the 3 million dollar rounds to get Lewis but I couldn't take the chance of somebody else taking him.

I tried to work out possible trades but couldn't come to any definite agreements. Lewis is worth the chance. He has 1 year to prove himself.

                    Thanks,
The canadians made my choice easier plus the fact I also needed a body to protect my QB.

The interesting part of the FA draft is that it takes up the pick from NEXT years draft as well. So all those owners picking in the high rounds won't even get a high round pick next season...
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"

"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

Every single player drafted is overpaid, but that's the market value. When there isn't much available, you have to pay a premium.

so far, very few players have been worth the money.
