Re: 2006 FA Draft Peanut Gallery

At this point in the draft the goal is to try and find young players with upside that have a chance to improve over the next year or two into a good starter for your team.

why are you mad over that pick, Holcomb had a better year last year and so did Orton than Losman, you are a classic over reactor

I think it's pretty safe to say Mikey will be drafting one of the 3 Top QB's this season.

You still have Holcomb and Orton. Boller and Harrington are still out there too.

For the right price I might trade you Donovan McNabb back now that I got Phillip Rivers.

ummm, Holcomb is a piece of **** and is NOT my future. Orton won't be starting this year, Grossman will or else Griese will.

I was going have McNabb for a long time and then that got screwed. Then I decided to make Rivers my QB of the future...NOPE. Then I figured I could get Losman in the next round or in the $1 million rounds and he could be my QB of the future....NOPE!

                ARGGHHHH!

You shouldn't have RFA'd McNabb then.

I wasn't counting on anyone willing to shell out $7.5 million for a player that will probably only play half the season and with the limits Eb gave us.... 35 players, $70 million....I could get under the cap without doing something about that contract.

Hopefully next year that won't be a rule. You shouldn't have to cut a certain amount of players or have to worry about being under a cap for FA.

You should only have to release the players you want. You shouldn't have to be forced to release players to be under a roster limit or salary cap for FA. Get rid of who you want and fill your voids in FA.

it will be like that for next year. But this year really ****ed over some of us who were here for the draft everyday and built our team from scratch. We had to make some very tough decisions. McNabb was one of them. I weighed the pros and cons and I didn't think anyone would pay $7.5 million for a QB that missed half the season and lost his number 1 weapon, especially when that jumps to $9 million and then $10.

If I did it again, i would have tagged McNabb at $7.5 million and would have probably been safe.
