All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Evidently Dallas tried to trade up, swapping thier 2nd and Seattle's 2nd and third to do so.
With Dallas' 2nd round pick we could have taken Ragland outright, saving us the 2 4ths we sealed to trade up to get him.
Essentially, Lawson cost us Seattle's 2nd and 3rd and our 2 4ths and our own 2nd round pic.
That's a haul for Lawson.
I kind of understand what your asking. But, where does Seattle's 2nd come in? Dallas had 1 pick in the 2nd and 1 pick in the 3rd. And my understanding is that is all Jones offered. Hat's off to Whaley for telling him to shove it then. But,if we would have taken the deal we could have had Ragland and Reed in the 2nd, picked from DEs Calhoun, Kaufusi or Ngakoue with Dallas 3rd, freeing up our 3rd for another spot. Prescott with our 4th. I don't know Shaq and Washington vs Reed and 2 3rds? In hide sight, getting a QB that can play in the next 2 years might have been the biggest reason to make the trade.
I'm happy with all of the picks except Cardale. I thought we should have gotten someone for the right side of the line somewhere along the line but it was never addressed in the draft.
This is a "what if" kind of guessing scenario involving Dallas supposedly wanting to trade back into the 1st. It just didn't happen this way. He says "evidently" but there is nothing out there to provide any evidence this was real.
I don't think that Lawson will get as many sacks. Having said that, they are very different athletes. Lawson looks like he will be much better against the run.
And, Lawson looks to provide leadership - something that Mario has seldom, if ever displayed.

Rex was so defensophilic with the Jets, his drafts failed like this one will. He built no offense through the draft.
Yesterday Whaley went all-in on defense at the top of the draft, trading away the middle of their draft to get the 3rd question-mark DT. Then when he got to go to the podium in the 5th (let's face it that was the 5th, not the 4th) he felt that he MUST go offense taking the biggest piece of QB waste in the draft. It's a joke. PREDICTION: Roman & Chris Palmer get pissed and leave.

You do know the year prior we addressed offense right? 4/6 picks were offense and we signed Taylor, McCoy, Clay and Incognito ........we do people ignore that fact when trying to validate their weak ass points?
it was no secret Dallas was looking for a QB going into this draft... Cook was selected to be selected, not because Jerry doesn't like Terry, and was trying to decrease the value of his franchise by not allowing him and the war room to select a QB he had passed on over and over again
