All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I agree with the three games for him, but I don't know how Bellamare didn't get the same treatment
Orpik blatantly turned his position well after Maatta released the puck and went high with an elbow. In Bellemare's case, he should have held up, but there wasn't anything indicating intent to injure as with Orpik. Other things taken into consideration are previous suspensions (none for Bellemare, two for Orpik) and whether there were injuries (Maatta is, Orlov was not). lastly, there was some consideration give for the fact that Orlov lost an edge leading to his fall.
Whether Bellemare should have gotten more is something to consider, but Orpik's hit was far worse.
The Arizona Coyotes announced Thursday that they have hired 26-year old John Chayka as their new GM, making him the youngest General Manager in pro sports history.
It won't happen, I think. Arizona is up a creek on this

We don't need Mathews at this point. A winger though... that's why I suggest trading to 4.
While true... another C doesn't hurt... Especially when we're giving up Girgensons (3rd or 4th line) for Matthews (1st or 2nd line).
Also... And perhaps a bigger point... It takes Mathews away from an up and coming division rival and places him with us. That's an equivalent to a 99 yard pick six in NFL speak... 14 point swing.
