Originally posted by MitchMurrayDowntown View PostI was told that they had points they agreed to on the contract and Bush was signing the deal, I have no idea why it hasn't been announced unless he had to go for a physical. I knew that was coming up but there's HIPAA regulations, so we should see how it all works out soon.
This source is not my relative like usual, so I'm getting this info from a not as well known. I'd call them mediocre versus poor.
I was also told something else today that I cannot mention at all, it's not good and I hope it doesn't come about. We have more trouble coming if it turns that way, OP will be in his F-in glory.

Where does Reggie Bush fit and how many running backs can you carry? Not to mention if they signed him before the season starts his salary for the year is fully guaranteed.
Am I missing something? Do they plan on cutting Karlos or Jonathan Williams?
At the rate of attrition we had last year, it is possible that there could be injuries that prolong his stay.
Or, they could easily cut Gillislee - after all, they found him on the Dolphins practice squad. Or, if they feel that Bush really does not have much to offer then they could part ways with him instead.

As far as Bush ...... take it or leave it ....... no risk.

Lots of good-to-great players were on teams' practice squads early on. The Bills had Jason Peters on their practice squad. Guys like James Harrison, Arian Foster, Kurt Warner, Rod Smith, Cameron Wake, etc.
Gillislee was a fifth round pick, just like Jonathan Williams and Karlos Williams. Just like Kyle Williams. That doesn't matter either.

My take was that we picked this guy up late season when no other team thought enough of him to give him an active roster spot. The Dolphins let him go from their practice squad (I mistakenly thought he was on it when we signed him). Then (according to Wikipedia) the Cards put him on their practice squad and he lasted 4 weeks before being released. Again, that might not mean anything, but the Cards are a fairly successful team with some astute coaches who seem to have an eye for talent. It is hard to dismiss their evaluation out of hand.
He could turn out to be a ball of fire - a talent that was completely mis-read by teams for the past 3 years that had a good long look at him. Or, he also could be a scrub who played well on fresh legs when 2 of the defenses that he faced were poor to begin with (Washington and Philadelphia) and had gone through a long season and were worn down. If Bush is 80% of the player he once was, then he is probably better than Gillislee. I think that, given how little the team has invested in the guy, he is expendable.Last edited by John Doe; 07-27-2016, 02:32 PM.
