All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Yes they should trade him and they should have traded Gilmore last season since they were not going to resign him.
This may come as a surprise to some of you, but we need players to put on the field. If we had traded Gilmore last year, who would have played CB? And how much would we have gotten for an average CB with just a year left on his contract?
Tyrod, Sammy, Dareus- we can cut/trade them but it's May. The draft is over and most of the best FA's already signed- who are we going to get that's equal or better before camp starts in 2 months?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills are willing to tank this season.
That said, I don't think he's worth very much right now. Given his health history, not sure any team out there is going to see him as the piece they need to win it all. I think it's better for us to see how he does and if he has a strong year, try to extend him or maybe tag and trade him.

Oh, we are tanking whether we want to or not. The OL and RB's are solid, but its shaky after that. Our only really good WR can't stay healthy. Tyrod is Tyrod and the lack of WR's isn't going to make things any easier.
On D, the front 4 should be solid but it's a lot of question marks at LB and DB. I like McDermott's approach- I just don't think he has the personnel to pull it off just yet.

Yeah, we get it, the Bills are terrible. My comment had nothing to do with their actual talent level, it's about their mindset.
The word tanking in sports implies being intentional about it. And being intentional about it is relevant to the discussion because if you're purposefully tanking, that generally means they are more willing to trade current assets for future ones.

No one will trade for him when they can just wait and see if he's healthy and might be an FA anyway next season, when there will be a cheaper crop of healthy fresh receivers available in the draft, and with spread and air raid offenses, there always will be.
Yep.
BTW - hoping things re the fire situation is progressing. Nothing can restore the before, of course.
Sammy "cubic zirconia" Watkins. Garbage. I'll be shocked if he plays in half of the games this year. They should trade him before he gets hurt and screws the team over again. Give somebody who is willing to play through a minor injury the reps.
