    Read it.

It's only an out if Buffalo declines to guarantee it.

We finally have the QB we've been waiting for ..... he's not leaving Buffalo.

The salary cap is a real thing, and the % of cap eaten by the QB’s salary creates a real problem for teams, no matter how much you want to pretend it doesn’t.
We’re out of cap prison after this season bud.

QBs get paid and we’ll pay Josh and he’ll be very happy in Buffalo. Stop being so negative!

Yup. The youth influx will help significantly with the cap.

Your work, not mine. My contract link doesn't say what you claim.

Op, other than Morse who are these quality players you keep referring to and what part of the salary cap reform don’t you get. They made mistakes with some of these contracts sooner of later they had to fix it. They decided sooner.

They got younger and we will have to see, but I think they got better in most areas especially at both safety positions. You can really believe Hyde and Poyer are still the same players they were 3 years ago, can you?

I had extra time to Google your work. You are correct.

Hopefully the Bills guarantee and also extend Allen again.

You’re asking the wrong question. It’s not about 3 years ago. The question is whether the guys we have now are equal or better to the guys we lost. There is zero proof that they are.

And again, my point was about the cap. If we were in good cap shape, do we let all those guys go? I highly doubt it. They were cap moves, not necessarily the best football moves.

I’m seeing that indeed Josh can opt out 2025 if the guaranteed monies aren’t fulfilled. Not just because he wants to

And back to the original topic, it looks like Allen can’t opt out, but IIRC, every QB that’s gotten paid since Allen has gotten more than him, and even if that’s not 100% correct, there are numerous QB’s making more than Allen who don’t deserve to.

Mahomes should make more than Allen. You could make a good argument for Burrow, Hurts and Hebert but it’s debatable. Stroud and Lawrence will likely get there but aren’t quite there yet.

I feel like this will eventually be a problem. At some point, Josh is gonna go “how the **** are Kirk Cousins and Kyler Murray making more than me?”

Good argument...for them to be making more than Josh? LOL!. No.

They’ve only played a couple of times but Burrow has whooped Allen easily every time. Hurts has gotten to a SB. Josh hasn’t.

But if you’re right, it just makes my point stronger. Josh is eventually gonna get frustrated that he’s getting paid less than guys who aren’t as good as him.
