He's contributed practically nothing to the offense. It could be a good thing. It will force them to play Shakir.

I hope Kumerow can get healthy soon too. I'd like to see what he could do with a bigger role

Shakir and Hodgins from the PS will be more active ? We'll see.

They are still going to need at least one more WR vs Pittsburgh, unless McKenzie clears concussion protocol or Kumerow has a miracle recovery from a high ankle

Isaiah Hodgins, Tanner Gentry and Tavon Austin are on the PS and working weekly with the team.

Broken ankle can mean a lot of things. Depends how, if he needs surgery. Etc. But I'd expect 8 minimum

I forgot about Tavon. I would think he might be the first one called upon, based on his experience ability to return kicks and punts.

Hodgins might be helpful I'm sure Josh will be involved so whoever it is let's roll.

Didn't Gentry play college ball with Josh .............

    Ah, another forgotten guy.

Maybe he will take this opportunity and run with it

Re: Crowder broke his ankle, he's done

It may not be the end of the world. I don't sense the chemistry between Allen and Crowder thus far. The hookup between them is less than I expected. That may be because Crowder missed most of the training camp, also Allen still has some issues with those in breaking routes in the middle. McKenzie is more effective against man.

We are missing Beasley of his first 2 years here. He was able to adjust the Allen's throws seamlessly. There were games he took over.

So it may be Shakir's time - the future is now in the slot.
