For FWIW, my 3 stars of the scrimmage:

    3. Justin Bailey
    2. Jake McCabe
    1. Sam Reinhart

Of course, those first two are the only ones who played in the scrimmage with actual NHL experience. (Unless I'm missing somebody)

I read that eichel worked his ass off, but a month of constant go go go caught up to him.

Girgs is certainly winger material. Or third line center. But I think he's too good for a bottom 6 role. Good problem to have.

I liked the RPI goalie we got in the Kane deal. Played the best of all the goalies I feel. Other than that, I don't disagree with your list.

Oh, Eichel played well, had some beautiful passes that didn't result in anything.

Reinhart played with William Carrier who played in the AHL last year too and Fashing on his other wing. I can't remember who was Eichel's linemates.

These rankings are hilarious if all it takes is a new draft class to drop the guys down. Seriously the top 4 were the same top 4 in the draft.

yeah, considering reinhart was the top prospect prior to the draft. but i do think strome/eichel/and mcdavid are clearly better. marner maybe too. maybe not though.

    Meh, to me it's McDavid > Eichel >> Reinhart/Bennett/Marner/Hanifin > Strome

Maybe McDavid and Eichel are better because they are elite talents but there is no guarantees that Strome and Marner play in the NHL this year. If they are a year away, I don't see how they are(or how they know they are) a better prospect than someone who is about to play in the league. I suppose we will find out after the next draft and if some of those guys on the list haven't cracked the NHL list see if they drop down again because of the new draft class.

Is suppose. Maybe that top 4 will be better than every player drafted the year before but I think that is more of a guess than anything.

Agree with that for sure, plus why start his rookie contract at the beginning of the rebuild. Wait a year or 2 and then pay him later down the road.

I do think strome is going to be a superstar as well. I mean eichel is going to be special, but if we somehow lost on eichel, I trusted strome to be a centerpiece even better than reinhart

I don't think Stromes ceiling is superstar... There are so called experts who have said they would rather have Eichel alone than both Strome and Marner.. They talk on WGR all the time how devasting it would have been for the Sabres to have ended up with the 3rd or 4th pick

I didn't say he will be as good as eichel. I said I think he will be a super star. And since eichel is going to be head and shoulders above him, that should tell you what eichel will be.
