    Nix Interview

Wants to draft a franchise qb before leaving. Had to give up so many needs to get one in the draft.

He knows it's been more than a decade since making playoffs but if he starts over with another HC, might have to wait another 12 years. Would rather stay with Chan.

I can't listen to it. Does he talk about the defense and Wannstedt at all?

didn't say anything we don't already know. Lack of consistency. It's not just one guy. Different players give up plays here and there. Repeated what Kyle Williams said that they tend to be excited about whats on paper (lineup) .

Said Dareus started out playing well the 1st 2 games but mediocre in 3 games. Needs to play better. Learning how to be a pro in terms of preparation.

Yeah, Bills look good on paper. Toilet paper. That's why so many teams wpe their butt with/on them.
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

12 YEARS? That's just insane. It doesn't take a new coach 12 years to get the team going in the right direction. That's just nonsense.

And you could give Gailey 12 years and we still won't win. He just doesn't have it.

Not what I wanted to hear re: Coaching, but could support the rumors that Gailey and Nix are gone if we dont see some imporvements.

If Nix goes, is the succession plan (Whaley) still in place, or does the organization look to the outside?

Whoa, bud. That quote needs to be put in context.

The caller mentioned the Bills being out of the playoffs for 12 years and asked if Chan's job was safe. Nix responded saying something like, well if we start over we could be out of the playoffs for another 12 years.

That's still BS. Plenty of teams have gone from crappy to playoffs in far less time than that. Changing coaches doesn't automatically mean 12 years of rebuilding. That's just a cop out.

Right, but he was clearly exaggerating to get his point across.

I don't know. I think he might believe in Chan so much that he thinks he's the only coach to get this team to the playoffs. Also know as, senile.

Yeah, he may be bat**** cray, I don't know. I was just saying that I thought that quote was an obvious exaggeration. I'm not impressed with Nix or anyone else on this coaching staff.

    Re: Nix Interview

in some ways, they actually have a little more to work with when jauron left. not much depth. but they have a few players at key spots and an OL in place.

a good coach/motivator should be able to get to these guys.

last rebuild, we were left with nothing. here we at least have a run game, a receiver or two, and an OL. D has some pieces in secondary and L. they need LB's

overall they need a motivator who makes the right calls at the right times. i could see a new GM come in with new coach and turn this around in one year.

12 Years. So this is who you chose to save the world. I wouldn't trust them with a potato gun.

Wow, no wonder this team is the cluster**** it is.

    Re: Nix Interview

In regards to his draft needs, seeing he can't draft anyone anyways, he might as well go for the sure pick and trade all his choices every year for one player. At least we'll get one who can play.

    Re: Nix Interview

i get that you are joking, turf, but that highlights why the last 3 years of missing on players in rounds 2-7 have hurt so bad. we could trade an entire draft for a qb this year, and we don't hvae the depth to withstand many injuries.

however, if they were a little more effective with depth and talent management, we could go all in and be in a decent spot next year.
