Clump's week 6 power rankings

by

This is a very tough week for ranking teams. No! Not because the hated Fish are ranked number one, but because after the top 10 teams, there really is a major gap starting with the Pats who just barely maintain their #11 ranking over the Jags at #12. Can’t justify moving the Steelers much more than to #13 after last week’s ranking of #24. Hopefully, the “Clumpy Curse” continues this week in Miami.

Wk. 6 Wk.5 Team Record Comments
1 3
Miami
5-1 An exciting win for Fishy fans. Broncos failed in time management.
2 7
New Orleans
5-1 Did exactly what they should've vs. rookie QB...PRESSURE!
3 4
Tampa Bay
5-1 Tenuous hold on #3...offense needs more consistency.
4 5
San Francisco
4-1 Is Owens worth commentary? Tough road game @ NO.
5 6
Green Bay
5-1 Remarkable defensive effort in NE...Farve is amazing.
6 2
Denver
4-2 Better time management and better grip away from #1.
7 1
Oakland
4-1 May have peaked a little early...defense is suspect.
8 8
Philadelphia
3-2 Tough home vs. Bucs...Eagles cannot afford "upchuck."
9 12
San Diego
5-1 Brees and Tomlinson are powerful duo, but schedule not easy.
10 10
Indianapolis
4-1 Only #10 due to aforementioned gap...OL suspect.
11 11
New England
3-3 What's the problem? Defense? Offense? Laziness?
12 9
Jacksonville
3-2 Loss of Brunell hurt against Titans, even tougher in Balt.
13 24
Pittsburgh
2-3 Maybe Maddox is the answer under center...hmmmm.
14 14
Baltimore
2-3 Played tough vs. Colts without Lewis...Need repeat vs. Jags.
15 16
BUFFALO
3-3 Can we get some defense this week, please????
16 13
Kansas City
3-3 Another team that lacks defense...lost DT Sims.
17 23
Atlanta
2-3 Better team than record. Gutty performance vs. Giants.
18 22
Dallas
3-3 Was it the Boys or Panther collapse? Tough team to gauge.
19 18
Arizona
3-2 Victim of past biases...may be better than this.
20 17

21 21
Chicago
2-3 Team hopes bye week healed some wounds.
22 29
St. Louis
1-5 Better team than record...Is Bulger this year's Warner?
23 26
Tennessee
2-4 Played with pride...going back to 3 yrs and a cloud of dust.
24 15
NY Giants
3-3 Another team hurt by injuries, but should've beat Atlanta.
25 20
Carolina
3-3 Young team that makes crucial mistakes at the wrong time.
26 19
Washington
2-3 Spurrier ball flat...defense can't stop anyone.
27 32
Minnesota
1-4 Showed some pride in comeback vs. Lions, but it was the Lions.
28 25
Seattle
1-4 What's so great about Holmgren??
29 28
Houston
1-4 An OL and skill players away from playoff contention.
30 27
Detroit
1-4 Sign of a poor team: lose big lead late in a game.
21 30
NY Jets
1-4 Changing things on D to allow Cowart to make plays! It's week 7.
32 31
Cincinnati
0-6 The town doesn't deserve this and now Dillon may retire?
