Buffalo Bills OT Mike Williams has not arrived for today’s camp- according to both Jim Morrison of the Howard Simon Show, and WGR-55 Radio. It is not known why the massive Right Tackle has missed today’s practice. He was excused from yesterday’s camp for undisclosed personal reasons. Recent speculation has centered over a recent demotion to the second string unit .
According to the Buffalo News- Williams was removed from the starting lineup after missing several offseason minicamps in June when the Bills were installing their new offense. It is known that Williams has been distraught over the death of a close relative, which was the reason he didn't attend much of the offseason workouts. Coach Mike Mularkey said the lineup change was temporary, but Williams needed to prove to him that he completely grasped the new playbook and was in good condition.
According to beat reporter Jeff Morrison, Williams did show up on the sidelines but too late to participate in the workouts. GM Tom Donahoe did relate to the media that Williams may be fined for his actions.
