Drew Bledsoe and the Offensive line Got to combine these two because the play of one impacts the other. Drew did not look great and the one interception was not his fault. One sack where he had less than 3 seconds to throw gets put on the line. Right now, this tandem gets an incomplete.
JP Losman 5 for 5 and 55 yards. Had a nice bootleg around the end. Other than in height he looks just like Flutie when he runs.
Lee Evans Even though he was a little invisible he was wide open on two plays but was not thrown too. Still early.
.
Josh Reed His kick returns were impressive and he held onto the balls thrown his way. With Moulds a lock to start and Evans a 1st rounder who should eventually start (maybe not this year) I think Reed can be a huge assest to the team as a KR and a 3rd WR. I liked what I saw.
Chris Kelsay Say hello to the new starter at DE. He has more strength and upfield speed than does Ryan Denney. Denney looked more suited to play centerfield during his interception in the first half.
Defensive backs Looked good. Even Izell Reese blanketed the guys he covered. Terrance McGee looks like a keeper.
Referees They need preseason too.
Stadium announcer John Gurtler His preseason should be 12 weeks long. Just terrible.
Baseball Is there anyway that it is not the Yankees and the Cardinals in the World Series? El Duque comes out of moth balls and goes 5-0?? Yup, Steinbrenner spends more money than anybody else but you also have to evaluate talent and sign players that will make an impact where none is expected.
Hockey Is anybody talking about anything serious yet? From here, it is not looking good for a full season this year. Olympic Tidbits
US Basketball Cry me a river that they are not going to get the gold. Yes, I am sick of sending pros to represent our country but at the same time think of who is not there and why they pulled out. I would rather go with a bunch of hungry college kids.
US Baseball We didn't even field a team? What?
Michael Phelps Just too much pressure. When Mark Spitz swam the competition just wasn't as good; especially in the relays. As great as it would have been it was asking too much of Phelps to win 7 or 8 medals.
Men's synchronized diving?? Please stop.
