Downtown stadium for Bills is a bad idea
by Bob Matthews
Hopefully, the idea to build a new stadium for the Bills in downtown Buffalo is a Hail Mary pass by a politician who wanted to get his name in the news and will be batted down before it has a chance to be completed.
After a $100 million renovation in 1999, Ralph Wilson Stadium is a fine NFL facility. It isn't a football Taj Mahal but it doesn't need to be. It is as functional and comfortable as an open-air stadium could be.
