The Zone's Power Rankings Week 4

by Frank Stephen

Four weeks into the regular season and we see a lot of movement in this weeks power rankings. With a stunning come from behind victory at Kansas City, the Philadelphia Eagles take the top spot in this week BillsZone Power Rankings. After losing to the San Diego Chargers 41-17, the New England Patriots drop out of the top spot and fall to fifth. The Indianapolis Colts offense gets back on the right track by scoring 31 points and nabs the second spot in the rankings. Even though Tampa Bay and Cincinnati struggled with inferior opponents both continue to climb up the rankings at 4-0. Finally, at the other end of the rankings Detroit, Buffalo, Arizona, Houston and San Francisco battle to see who the lowest ranking team is.

Teams on the move: Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, Denver, New York Giants, San Diego
Teams on the slide: Seattle, Buffalo, New York Jets, Minnesota, San Francisco
Teams to watch: Oakland, Dallas, Carolina, Miami, Baltimore

Philadelphia3-1

How was TO wide open the entire 2nd half?

Indianapolis4-0Offense comes back to life…then again it was the Titans
Pittsburgh2-1Can’t be #1 or #2 off a bye.
Tampa Bay4-0Williams struggles against Lions but Bucs keep rolling.
New England2-241 points by SD?? Where fore art thou, Romeo?
Cincinnati4-0Struggle at home at Texans is just a slip.
Denver3-1How did the Broncos lose to Miami?
Atlanta3-1Game against Minnesota not true test. Injury to Vick will be trouble. Dunn unstoppable.
San Diego2-2Anybody who goes into NE and puts up 41 gets my respect.
N Y Giants3-1Best offense in football?? Who’da thought?
Oakland1-3Hard schedule will toughen Raiders…a dangerous team.
Miami2-1A bye week before the Bills game? The league hates the Bills.
Washington3-0No. It’s just smoke and mirrors.
Seattle2-2Unspectacular teams go 8-8. Welcome to 8-8.
Kansas City2-2Unspectacular teams go 8-8. Welcome to 8-8.
Jacksonville2-2Unspectacular teams go 8-8. Welcome to 8-8.
Dallas2-2Bledsoe on the road…same old, same old.
Carolina2-2Wins not enough to convince they are the Super Bowl favorite some predicted.
St. Louis2-2Not a good year for head coaches named Mike.
Chicago1-2

What’s blander than a bye week?

Cleveland1-2No wins in the division clinches losing season.
Baltimore1-2Don’t buy playoff tickets just yet. Brooks Robinson was a better QB than Brooks Bollinger.
New Orleans2-2With “1st home game” in San Antonio, Saints still benefiting from Hurricane Katrina.
N Y Jets1-3The bottom fell out. Vinny Testaverde is the calvary? Race with Bills and 49ers for first overall.
Minnesota1-3Daunte Culpepper sacked more times than Drew Bledsoe. How did that happen?
Green Bay0-4Injuries taking a toll. Losing too many close games. Should be rated higher.
Tennessee1-3Rinse, repeat. Going to be a long year.
Detroit1-2Played surprisingly tough against the Bucs.
Buffalo1-3Mt. Moulds is about to blow. Inspector Gadget has to stop outthinking himself.
Arizona1-3Not the team to send to Mexico to attract fans.
Houston0-3Two weeks helps Texans plan for Bengals and they still come up short.
San Francisco1-3 ...Not the team to send to Mexico to attract fans; redux.
