Tennessee 13 Baltimore 10
Winner: Titans Tight ends. Collins was sporadic and the running game was no-existent, but the big boys showed up for Tennessee as Bo Scaife and Alger Crumpler combined for 9 catches 87yards and 1TD.
Loser: Willis McGahee (BAL). Ravens backup LeRon McClain is proving week in and week out that he may be the main man for Baltimore backfield.
Carolina 34 Kansas City 0
Winner: DeAngelo Williams (CAR) had the best day of his career posting 123 yards, 2 rushing, and one through the air.
Loser: KC fans. You guys remember last week against Denver? Yeah, we were just kidding.
Chicago 34 Detroit 7
Winner: Kyle Orton (CHI). Remember me? I took you guys to the playoffs a couple years ago.
Loser: The Lion. King of the jungle my ***. Detroit has turned the almighty lion into a kitty cat.
Atlanta 27 Green Bay 24
Winner: The Atlanta Offensive line. The big uglies allowed zero sacks and paved the way for Michael Turner to have another great day. You want your rookie QB to succeed? Block for him.
Loser: Aaron Kampman (GB). A-Kamp has been controlled the last weeks and the Pack is on a skid. Kampman needs to be a force for Green Bay to stay competitive.
Indianapolis 31 Houston 27
Winner: Steve Slayton (HOU). Very few people knew Steve Slayton on draft day, but pay attention to this kid, he’s my pick for ROY.
Loser: Sage Rosefels (HOU): you turned the ball over three times the last 5 minutes of the game. You cost your team their first win of the season. You may not pass go, and to hell with your two hundred dollars.
Miami 17 San Diego 10
Winner: While Ronnie Brown was phenomenal, my guy was Chad Pennington (MIA): 22-29 for 228 yards. Mistake free football from Chad could have the Fins above .500 for the first time since 2005.
Loser: LT (SD), 2.9 yards a carry ain’t helping anyone’s fantasy team. And it certainly isn’t helping San Diego.
New York Giants 44 Seattle 6
Winner: Brandon Jacobs (NYG): 9.1 yards a carry, that’s pretty much a first down every time you touch the ball. That’s pretty awesome.
Loser: Plaxico Burress (NYG: Your suspension didn’t slow the Giants down. Uno Siete better smarten up, Coach Coughlin is a no BS guy.
Washington 23 Philadelphia 17
Winner: Chris Cooley (WAS) had his coming out party Sunday, with 8 catches, including a 18 yard pass for six, from WR Antwaan Randel-El .
Loser: Donovan McNabb (PHI) has not thrown a touchdown pass in 7 quarters. With Westbrook coming off a rib injury, McNabb needs to be playing better football.
Denver 16 Tampa Bay 13
Winner: Matt Prater (DEN) has been a perfect 4-4 on 50+ FG’s this year; he scored 9 against the Bucs. He also had four touchbacks, and was the difference maker in this one.
Loser: TB’s front four couldn’t generate any pressure, but they were bailed out by solid LB play and great play from their DB’s.
Arizona 41 Buffalo 17
Winner: He might not be the most obvious choice, but Steve Breaston (AZ) filled in seamlessly for the injured Anquan Boldin. He has gone above and beyond stepping in for the departed Bryant Johnson.
Losers: JP Losman (BUF) had three turnovers subbing in for the concussed Edwards. If Edwards is out against San Diego in two weeks, the Bills will need turnover-free football from JP. Kurt Warner (AZ) also graces the loser list, for still being married to Brenda Warner, who leaked Kurt’s personal text message out to the main stream media.
Dallas 31 Cincinnati 22
Winner: Felix Jones (DAL) has been running wild; he has kept the two back punch in Dallas. The new Jones ripped off 10.7 yards a carry and a score.
Loser: Chad Johnson (CIN) has yet to put up 100 yards in a game this season, and after opening his mouth before the Cowboys game he is proving to be a giant (how do you say distraction in Spanish?).
New England 30 San Francisco 21
Winner: Randy Moss (NE). The media tried to create a stir with Moss during the Patriots bye week. There was no distraction, as Moss looked great on Sunday, hooking up with Cassel for a score, the first time Moss has seen pay dirt since week 1.
Loser: Nate Clements (SF) looked lost playing next to the inspired Moss. Maybe his wallet was slowing him down.
Pittsburgh 26 Jacksonville 21
Winners: Mewelde Moore (PIT) filled in for the injured Willie Parker and played great; he created that Steeler balance which allowed Big Ben to thrive. Congrats to Fred Taylor, who has now ran for 11,000 yards in his career.
Loser: Reggie Williams (JAX) had zero catches Sunday night. David Garrard needs someone besides Matt Jones to throw to.
Minnesota 30 New Orleans 27
Winner: Bernard Berrian (MIN) has speed, you know it, I know it, New Orleans knows it. But who can stop it?
Loser: Martin Grammatica (NO) missed two 46 yarders, despite making a 53 yarder. Maybe someone forgot to tell him they were in a dome?
