Jay McKee walked into the Sabres dressing room at a little after 9 a.m. Saturday, which was progress in its own right. Just one day earlier, McKee had still been laid up in bed at home, unable to walk because of a nasty strep infection in his left shin. McKee seemed weary and a trifle sad, a fitting symbol for Buffalo in the aftermath of a memorable Stanley Cup run.
