Pacman Jones could sue the NFL

NFL | A. Jones could sue league
    Sat, 12 May 2007 06:27:14 -0700
Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans CB Adam Jones and his attorneys, Manny Arora and Mark Trigg, could file a federal lawsuit against the National Football League if the league does not reduce the one-year suspension issued to Jones. "Mr. Jones respectfully does not concede that the Commissioner's resolution of the appeal will constitute full, final and complete disposition of the dispute," Jones' attorneys wrote in their appeal letter to the NFL. "Mr. Jones expressly reserves and does not waive any and all other legal remedies which may be available to him."

Eor the sake of the game I hope no judge in the county buys into this and Pacman goes down in flames.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

If only he could go to a new team, get a fresh start, turn over a new leafe.... A team that would understand and support him while not judging him...... Like the Bengals.

                  Really this is too easy.

what I don't understand is how the NFL isn't like any other workplace (ok, I understand, but don't agree) - even one with unions - if you get arrested or charged with crimes 9 times in the space of a couple years, missing work and all that, you're a goner.

This guy is really getting some bad advice. He needs to dissappear for a year, stay in shape, and show up next year. Instead, he's going to get completely blacklisted by the three teams that haven't already.

here's an idea: if you don't like the consequences of getting arrested, STOP ****ING GETTING ARRESTED.

this dude needs to STFU and take his medicine like a man. his repeated offenses prove he has yet to take the game or his own future seriously.

That's how I feel. If the dude seriously realizes he screwed up he needs to man up, admit he has been an idiot, and just sit out the year. Use the time to get his life turned around and come back a better person for it all.

Great idea anyway. Hey, let's sue the NFL.

Two years salary in legal fees later.

Your way to deal with it is to constantly ***** and denigrate any move, any result concerning the team even if it's positive because you don't want your whittle feewings hurt again. It's a protection mechanism.

You shroud your childish approach in a vale of pompous, intellectual garbage in an attempt to look smart and "real". You over-analyze even minute points and manipulate statistics to fit your negative view of the team. Again, to feel good about yourself and to protect from getting hurt.

Of course, the criticisms are obviously from someone who has no understanding of the team concept or what it takes to excel at athletics.

The true "realist" understands that they have no control of what happens on the field or behind the closed doors at One Bills' Drive, so they do the prudent thing for a spectator. They enjoy the games on Sunday with family and friends, cheer for their team and realize that it's just entertainment.

"I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said Thursday on NFL Network's Total Access. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."

"We are committed. I want you to believe me when I say that," Whaley said of building around the second-year quarterback, per The Buffalo News. "I always tell you guys that I'll never say never because I don't want to paint myself in a corner, but when I do say something, I do it and I mean it and I try to fulfill it."

"We believe the addition of Sammy is going to be instant impact, not only to our quarterback, but to what our offensive coordinator can come up with game-plan wise and how defenses attack us," Whaley said.

Whaley on EJ Manuel: "We think we got a gem in this guy." (2:30)

"And as Mark says, if in three years maybe he's not [our quarterback of the future], then I'll be sitting there saying 'hey guys', .... anybody got a job for me?" - Doug Whaley
