View Full Version : NY Giants / Skins - Bears / Vikes games have a bearing on the Bills...

If the Giants beat the Skins this week (likely) and the Bears beat the Vikes (not so likely), then the Giants would be locked into the #5 seed and would have nothing to gain by beating the Bills next week. They may very well rest players who have been banged up (Jacobs, Plaxico, etc.).

Please do not bring up the Pittsburgh loss at our house from a few years ago. Different team, different heart.

I don't want Plax to rest. I need him in my fantasy championship game.

Touche.

But honestly, I think we can beat the Giants without them resting their starters. Eli is a joke. They only reason they're any good is because they play some pretty crappy NFC teams.

I personally think we roll them either way.

They all play this weekend and it gives you a reason to watch the scoreboard during downtimes.

their pass rush scares the hell out of me- Trent has not handled pressure well. Fortunately he didn't face any against Miami :snicker:

One game at a time. If we win out, we have pretty good chance of losing in the first round of the playoffs! LOL

trent hasnt handled pressure well?

im pretty sure that not taking a sack in the last 2 weeks has as much to do with him handling pressure as it does to do with the line playing well.

Skooby you think we roll everyone. Remember your feeling going into the pats game?

The Giants have probably the best pass rush in all of football, and no thew wont be resting anyone with a week out. Week 16....perhaps.......but week 15 not so much.

Teams dont rest their starters with two games left.

Last thing a playoff team wants is a core of players who haven't played in TWO weeks before a playoff game, especially one they'll be on the road for.

Indy has done that before, try again.

Eli is leading one of the best teams in the NFC.

They lost their first 2 & then hit turds week 3-8, then they lost to dallas and hit 2 flopping teams. There are not going to win their last 2.

Oh no, we are going to lose according to a ADMIN that has the ability to NEG someone multiple times in a row. I am glad they put such a level head on the gun just for pointing out the easy schedule they had. How could i suggest that the same teams we beat they get to play multiple times and win, how dare I.

Please you act as though you are being reasonable. Every week its the same crap. "Well the patriots only beat so and so by 76 points and we beat them by 3 so we are gonna win".

Has nothing to do with the schedule, opponent or anything else. You use the same flawed logic and reason, or lack thereof, every week no matter who we play.

I called the Pats game wrong, many people did. We fielded the wrong QB and the coaches we're unprepared for it. Beating the Pats is a blueprint that no one has been able to build. I really feel that having a FJ and ML on the field gives us a chance to win every week. It changes the dynamic and gives trent room to grow without the weight of the whole game on his shoulders. 2 guys that can catch and run is a QB's dream. Plan on us opening more games up now and having the run set up passing TD's, that's what we have been lacking. Trent didn't pass for alot of yards but 4 TD's later, he didn't need too.

god im so sick of somebody piping up lets worry about cleveland first every time somebody brings up a point about future game scenarios

this just in: THAT ATTITUDE IS IMPORTANT FOR THE PLAYERS NOT THE FANS

we have ZERO bearing on the game. well except if we are there and making noise. the rest of the time all we get to do is think about what happens if this or that goes down. IT DOESNT AFFECT THE OUTCOME IN THE SLIGHTEST IF WE LOOK BEYOND THIS GAME

in fact other than perhaps getting our hopes too high i think its fun to consider what ifs. i find the point about the nfc games very interesting and something i hadnt thought of. now i have something else to root for and follow on sunday
