Jeez there are alot of mock drafts! I didn't think Leftwich would make it past the Cards and the Cowgirls...

There's no way the Cowboys take a QB. Hutchinson was the best rookie QB last year and has always been rather highly touted - similar to a slightly less talented Drew Henson.

Do you think that whoever signs Drew Henson next year (2004) is gonna draft a QB in 2005?
Btw, Henson will play football. He's stopped progressing in baseball and once he gets near the end of his baseball contract - he's making mad cash - he'll come to the NFL.

Why would KC take Kelsay over McDougle and Haynes???

Man is Miachael Haynes the popular pick or what...lol:)! I wouldn't mind taking him though for sure. Maybe we can grab a Penn State tandem in Haynes and Johnson. Go Bills!

Unless someone uses a 7th rounder, I think they're foolish to draft Henson. I don't see him giving up more than a mil a year for a couple of years for a chance (not a guaranteed) to earn a quarter of a mil a year in a sport he hasn't played in years. He'll just hold out and play baseball.
From my understanding, if he doesn't get drafted this year, he's a free agent next year and won't count against a team's rookie cap, so he'll be able to command enough money to make him give up baseball.

Still doesn't answer my question though as to why the Cowboys would draft a QB.

After they cut him yes they will!

I would rather have McDougle than Haynes. This draft is really stupid, lol, I bet fewer than 15 of those picks are actually right.

Tuna wanted to give Miami a 7th but then they heard Miami was cutting him.

I agree, I have my doubts TD and company would pass on McDougle and take Haynes instead. I personally am not quite sold on Haynes, I think he benefitted a lot from Kennedy and Adams in the middle clogging up a ton of lineman. If McDougle were there for us, I think he would be the pick.

Yeah Miami and didn't have any help for Mcdougle dd they...lol:)! Go Bills!

You also gotta think that if he comes here he'll have fat Pat and Sam Adams clogging up the middle too.

It would be nice to have someone good come in and sub for either Pat Wiliams or Sam Adams. Go Bills!

Ron Edwards is decent at DT.. I think he'll be more effective this year with less playing time, because he'll have more energy

LJ Smith taken in the first round over dallas clark? nuts...

Ingtar33
04-23-2003, 03:23 PM
wow... I'd be stunned if the Bills passed on McDougal for Haynes? Haynes is symbolic of what is wrong with the preconceived idea that this draft is "huge" with D-Linemen. In last years draft Haynes would have still been on the board when the Bills drafted Denney (Denney was the 4th best end in last years draft)... The Bills are looking for a Hue Douglas, not Phil Hanson (who I'd compare Haynes to)...

Tatonka

so who is the hugh douglas??

UGHHHH...Haynes over McDougle? AWFUL. Michael Haynes is another in a LONG line of OVERRATED Penn State players. Courtney Brown is a prime example. Yeah Haynes is a decent player, but he's not going to get much better. He doesn't have much potential. McDougle is a player who could turn into Jevon Kearse and he's every bit the athlete Kearse is. I'd be pretty pissed with Haynes over McDougle. We have a better version of Haynes in Marcus Jones. Say no to Haynes or Penn State players.

I would be shocked if the draft turned out that way. No way does Ty Warren, Tyrone Calico, Julian Battle or L.J. Smith go so high and no way does McDougle slip that far. I really am at a loss as to how to predict what the Bills will go for. If a DL like Sullivan, Joseph or McDougle slip then the decision is easy, but otherwise I see us looking at the following group of players:

Ty Warren
Ken Peterson
Michael Haynes
Rashean Mathis
Andre Woolfolk
Jasen Witten
Dallas Clark

I can't really think of anyone else they could take? I think we need a receiver and interior OL depth, but not in the first round. I think C Al Johnson in round two would be a great pick-up because he can play C and OG. I like Warren in round 1, but your guess is as good as mine. I guess we will find out soon enough!

Go Bills!

I was shocked that the mock had Warren going to the Patsies at #14. I am also surprised tha Calico goes in round 1. How accurate was ESPN's mock last year?

i think kelly washington is a very real possibility for us in the first round.
