Shut it, Stafford needs to sit. I wouldn't be against sending the premadonna to Portland.

He can't go to Portland...he'd need to clear waivers. However, I do agree, he needs to sit...he hasn't played very well this season.

You obviously missed the part where they talked to Reigier and he said he isn't because of when he was signed. It was only 80 games.

It's LWs boy. The Dr. is just trying to get him going :D

Stafford has struggled all season. I really can't believe anyone would suggest playing Stafford over Hecht because Hecht had one bad game in his first game back from an injury.

If LW was the coach, our top line would be Kaleta/Stafford/Vanek. There's a good 35 goals a year!

I would prefer to see Stafford back on the 4th line with Kaleta and Mair, like was done last spring. They hit, they blocked shots, and they scored. It was an all out smack line, and exciting as hell to watch.

19 5 80 4 160
20 4 80 3 160

As used above, "NHL" Games" include NHL Championship games
and NHL Playoff games.

Stafford was 20 when he signed his contract and has played approximately 130 games. So by looking at the line i have highlighted you see he is still eligible.

A little research goes a long way guys.

I say send him to Portland

I say send him to PortlandWrong... he was 20 when he signed, but he turned 21 that year, which makes him 21 in the NHL's eyes... and therefore 80 games was the limit. They discussed it during the broadcast the game Hecht came back.

Fair enough. Didn't see the game.I happened to catch that part because I asked the same question to a buddy before hand... he actually gave me the correct answer too. I find him to be quite reliable when it comes to such things.
