are we ever going to get any players who are actually big enough to play hockey? I know these guys are young, but damn. 5'8" 135 is tiny. Even 5'9" 165 is insanely small.

I think we want to field a team of dwarfs

I know someone's gonna come in here and say "he's still young, he'll fill out." The only problem with that is that the same thing applies to pretty much ALL our prospects. In 3-4 years we'll have a good sized team- what the hell are we supposed to do in the meantime? Continue to fight for the 8th seed and come up just short?

There is a trend and it is why this organization continues to fail...they don't know what they're doing!

No we never had a guy 6'7" under 200 pounds EVER.

oh, he's 6'8, 215.

For comparison, Tallinder is 6'3 214. Mair is 6'1, 208, Rivet is 6'2, 210, Goose is 6'5, 225. Chara is 6'9, 251.

So, he has a LONG way to go.

He was a 6th round pick and very likely will only be a depth guy.

They also drafted Adam Dennis last year, who is not small.

They have been looking at size more recently. This guy was a late round pick, where you take flyers on guys. Most are never even signed.

I think you mean Luke Adam. Adam Dennis is a goalie.

he was fourth in league scoring with 99 points (33+66) in 64 games.

The 20-year-old Byron had 27 multi-point games this season, including a league-high seven points (4+3) in one game against Drummondville on January 4/09

:shakeno: remember him

Mike Wilson
6' 9"
195

in the 1994-95 Sabres Media Guide first year he was with the Sabres it says he was 6' 4" 195
in the 1998-99 Sabres Media Guide the last year he was with the Sabres it says he was 6'9" 195

if he was really 6'9" 195 can you blame him? That's all skin and bones. A dude that size would get destroyed by someone who's 6'1 215 every time.

I got negged for this? Really? Just annoyed with the undersized player we signed. We have enough small underachievers as it is.

Dr. Lecter

Wilson was not 6'9"

He was a bigger pussy than Richard Simmons though.

The Spaz

Wilson was like 6-5 or 6-6 and never tried to hit anyone, hence he was a pussy.

6'-9" was a typographical error, he was 6'-4"

I don't care who we sign or how big they are as long as they play with passion. I'll take a little Danny Gare or Theo Fleury (minus the alcoholism) over Mike Wilson, Uwe Krupp or Adam Creighton any day.

what's wrong with a little alcoholism? Tequila or whiskey to put the edge on before the games, a few beers to take the edge off after the game. It's all good.

Add a couple of shots of Beam during the game to keep the blood flowing and all is well!!!!
