When former San Francisco 49ers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sfo/) running back Glen Coffee (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/9338/)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/9338/news) retired from the NFL this summer (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Glen-Coffee-feels-just-fine-with-quitting-on-his?urn=nfl-263288) at the age of 23, he said it was because God told him to leave football and enter the ministry. He didn't mention whether or not he was supposed to accept his higher calling while carrying an automatic pistol.

Normally I agree with statements like these, but I don't think I was ever dumb enough to walk away from millions of dollars, especially if the reasons were based on some irrational belief system.

Immaturity and flat out stupidity are two very different things. Cars need to be registered and insured? Who knew! Let's speed in it with a burner in the center console.

Just because the only Christians that make the news are of the kooky variety doesn't mean they represent the majority. So many people want to preach tolerance and then turn around and display intolerance (because it's acceptable to be intolerant to Christians). Hypocrisy if I ever saw it.
