    Seahawks cut Doucet

Seahawks terminate the contract of WR Early Doucet.

Surprised at this. He was always a contributor in AZ. Now a FA per ESPN.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I know that I post "Bring him in!" after every player that gets cut...but unless he has an injury concern or has other issues, I say he might be worth considering due to the lack of vets in the Bills receiving corps.

We are going to have some tough cuts to make at WR, why take reps from our current crop?

With Harvin sidelined for who knows how long, cutting Doucet is kind of surprising.

Well since we learned Woods dropped a pass the other day in a srimmage, we should probably waive him and sign Doucet.

and he did play with Kolb in Arizona, personally give me a Doucet as a camp body over Terrell Sinkfield any day of the week.

Saw on twitter that he was cut with failure to disclose physical condition designation. I'll try to look back for the specific tweet but it was by Aaron Wilson @ravensinsider

Maybe the Eagles will show interest since they have 2 done for the year and another with race issues.

                            Agree, not a good idea.

What's the appeal w/ Doucet, a WR that's averaged a few hundred yards and has no particular nose for the EZ. We'll end up getting the same from numerous rookies or other unproven WRs. We may end up with better.

Another man's trash is likely to be our trash too in this case.

I'm lovin' the Pats' WR situation. Brady's gotta be miffed despite the fact that media reports have said differently.

Their receivers are worse than ours. I'm thinkin' a home-opener win this year.

This could very well be the worst year of production on Brady's watch since his first season or two.
